Warm wind at my back surged towards this towering supercell. Thunder rumbled across the fields chasing the flashes of lightning. We had searched for a storm of this magnitude for days on end. State after state we struck out until a meteorological explosion happened in West Texas. We raced towards the beast finally stopping in a field. For hours we witnessed its limitless beauty spinning and slowly skirting by. The structure intensified as the day progressed, peaking at sunset with color gently kissing the rising updraft. On into the night we followed this cell until it withered away into thin air.
